Col. John Haas, commander of the Florida National Guard's 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team thanks Soldiers from the Wisconsin National Guard's 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Homestead, Fla. Sept. 16 for their hard work and dedication to assisting the Florida National Guard and local authorities with relief efforts following the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma. On Sept. 8, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker signed an executive order, which authorized the adjutant general to call elements of the Wisconsin National Guard to state active duty, as necessary.
