DENVER, Colo. (Sept. 9, 2017) Sailors assigned to Navy Information Operations Command flag detail, fold an American flag that was later presented to Aaron Flanigan, grandnephew of Gunner's Mate 2nd Class Anthony Parrino, during a remembrance ceremony for the USS Grayling (SS-209) in Denver, Colo. During World War II, Graysling was last heard from after reporting her last kill, the passenger-cargo Meizan Maru on August 27th in the Tablas Strait. The boat, which took 76 crewmembers to the bottom with it, received six battle stars for its service. (U.S. Navy photo by Petty Officer 1st Class Robert A. Hartland/Released)
