Members of U.S. Naval War College’s (NWC) Color Guard along with NWC students, staff and faculty stand during the playing of the national anthem prior to the start of a commemorative Army-Navy baseball game from the 1917 time frame. The game took place at Cardines Field in Newport following a re-dedication ceremony of the field to Army Pvt. Bernardo Cardines, Newport’s first resident to die in World War I. The game ended with Navy winning, 13 to 7.
