YOKOSUKA, Japan (Oct. 2, 2017) Seaman Recruit Christian Colon secures a mooring line to a bollard during a sea and anchor detail aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) as the ship arrives in Yokosuka, Japan, for a training availability and shipboard certifications. Ashland is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
