AGUADILLA, Puerto Rico – Mayor Manuel “Gabina” Santiago (center) celebrates with residents of the Atalaya neighborhood, in the municipality of Augada, moments after electrical power was restored on Nov. 14 to this mountainous community. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, working with contractor PowerSecure and its sub-contractors, currently has electrical repair crews at multiple sites throughout northwestern Puerto Rico that have been restoring power to up to 1,000 residences a day.
