    "Kvido", Border Patrol K9, returns to fit-for-duty status at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas Mar 20, 2017 after a 'first-of-its-kind' surgery to repair the degenerative lumbosacral stenosis performed by Dr. James Giles of the South Texas Veterinary Specialist in San Antonio, Texas. Post-operative rehabilitation by the Department of Defense Military Working Dog Veterinary Service has proceeded very well.
