180110-N-OW019-494 PACIFIC OCEAN (JAN. 10, 2018) A casing is ejected from the chamber of an M4 service rifle after Ship’s Serviceman Seaman Orlando Pipes, a native of Chicago, assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), fires during a gun qualification shoot on the ship’s flight deck. Pearl Harbor, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
