A recruit with Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, holds his war bag out during pick up at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 15. The new recruits conducted an initial gear inspection to ensure they had all the required gear and were prepared to begin training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate March 9.
