180206-N-SF984-0035 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 6, 2018) Operations Specialist 2nd Class Henry Buth of Henrico, Virginia, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) looks through the big eyes as the ship transits the San Diego Bay. Dewey, along with USS Sterett (DDG 104), departed Naval Base San Diego on a scheduled deployment to conduct operations in the Indo-Pacific Region. Dewey will also support the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group deployment in order to advance U.S. Pacific Fleet's Up-Gunned ESG concept and will train with forward-deployed amphibious ships across all mission areas.
