CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan— Lance Cpl. Raymond Lemus fires his M16A4 service rifle during the United States Marine Corps Marksmanship Competition-Far East Dec. 6 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Before and during the competition, competitors were afforded the opportunity to learn and shoot alongside the Marine Corps’ official shooting team. The competition helps improve the marksmanship, proficiency and combat readiness of the Marines and is the first step toward the Marine Corps Championship in Quantico, Virginia.
