U.S. Marine Corps firefighters from Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 and Royal Thai Navy firefighters work together to extinguish an aircraft fire in a simulated crash scenario, Feb. 20, 2018, during aircraft extraction training at U-Tapao International Airport, Rayong province, Thailand. The training was conducted as part of Exercise Cobra Gold 2018. Cobra Gold, held from Feb. 13-23 in its 37th iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together a robust multinational force in the Kingdom of Thailand to address shared goals and security commitments in the Indo-Pacific region.
