Col. Robert Hailey and his wife Jan were recognized as he retired from the U.S. Army February 23, 2018 at the Fort Hamilton headquarters of the North Atlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Brooklyn, New York. Hailey's final active duty assignment included serving as the division's deputy commander (reserves), an especially important role in 2017 when the commanding general, Brig. Gen. (Promotable) William Graham, was forwarded deployed to Afghanistan. The Haileys are residents of Papillion, Nebraska.
