MEDITERRANEAN SEA (March 1, 2018) U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Diego Perez Torres, a radio operator with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 162 Reinforced (REIN) is read his promotion warrant during a promotion ceremony aboard the amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) March 1, 2018. The 26th MEU is deployed at sea to conduct maritime security operations, crisis response and theater security cooperation, while also providing a forward expeditionary naval presence in Europe and the Middle East.
