    Naval Base San Diego

180322-N-RP435-006 SAN DIEGO (Mar. 22, 2018) – Military Police Officer Thomas Contant (center) is briefing Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Vice Adm. Mary Jackson (left) prior to entering the gate at pier eight on Naval Base San Diego. Navy Security Officers, Master at Arms and civilian military police officers manage and provide security throughout the installation from peir sentry to vehicle patrols and more. Jackson is touring installations in the Southwest region to assess and provide feedback on how the bases can better serve the warfighter and the fleet. Navy installations are complex, diverse platforms designed to support and enhance warfighter readiness by providing manning, training and resources to meet the fleet’s operational requirements. CNIC provides installation support that ensure U.S. forces and its allies continue to fly, sail and operate around the world. (U.S. Navy Photo by Krishna M. Jackson/Released)
