180322-N-RP435-039 SAN DIEGO (Mar. 22, 2018) – Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Vice Adm. Mary Jackson (right) receives a brief from Pacific Beacon General Manager, Terry Copeland during a tour of Naval Base San Diego. Pacific Beacon is one of the most recent partnerships providing unaccompanied housing for single junior Sailors. Jackson is touring Southern California installations, such as those in San Diego, Orange and Ventura Counties, to assess and provide feedback on how the bases can better serve the warfighter and the fleet. Navy installations are complex, diverse platforms designed to support and enhance warfighter readiness by providing manning, training and resources to meet the fleet’s operational requirements. CNIC provides installation support that ensure U.S. forces and its allies continue to fly, sail and operate around the world. (U.S. Navy Photo by Krishna M. Jackson/Released)
