Third Army/U.S. Army Central honored its volunteers today by recognizing them for their contributions. Terry Lein, representing Third Army/U.S. Army Central Surgeon's office, received the Patton Award from Col. Mike Simmons, deputy G3, for her outstanding work at Third Army/U.S. Army Central. She organized the first Tell Me A Story event at Thrid Army/USARCENT in October 2006, which resulted in 60 families attending the event read by Lt. Gen. R. Steven Whitcomb, commander of Third Army/USARCENT. In additon, Lein designed the Third Army Afghan and always contributed food and more than 200 hours to all fundraisers to ensure the Family Readiness Group had sufficient funds to support various events. Lein is one of four people recognized at the ceremony hosted by Cathy Whitcomb. Other honorees are Rhonda Williams, Constance Holman and Master Sgt. Mona Venning.
