U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contractors use a rope tied to the top of a tree in order to topple it, while a contractor uses a chainsaw to cut the tree to the stump in Joplin, Mo. Removal of vegetation like this tree, is part of the overall mission the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is managing as part of its debris removal mission tasked to the Corps by FEMA. The tree will be cleared from the lot and sent to the Schifferdecker debris site and chipped into a very rough mulch for beneficial secondary use.
