U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 2, 2018) U.S. Marines assigned to the Assault Amphibious Vehicle Platoon, Fox Company, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), stage vehicles aboard the Harpers Ferry-class dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) prior to a ship-to-shore movement in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of Operations. The 26th MEU trains to sustain expeditionary readiness across a range of critical capabilities both afloat and ashore in order to be prepared to respond to crisis in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of Operations.
