In keeping with tradition, Marines from the USMC's Security Forces Training Company salute the Officer of the Deck and request permission to board during a mess night aboard the USS Wisconsin, BB-64. Those with infractions were ordered to the back of the line. The Wisconsin, an Iowa-Class Battleship is a museum ship moored permanently next to the Hampton Roads Naval Museum and Nauticus in Downtown Norfolk. The ship hosted its first ever Mess Night on May 25, 2018. The ship is available for area commands for military ceremonies, including re-enlistments, promotions and retirements via the Hampton Roads Naval Museum (US Navy Photo by Civilian Public Affairs Officer Max Lonzanida)
