YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 17, 2018) – Yokosuka area Sailors and family members walk around Yokosuka City in yukata, a casual Japanese summer garment, during a community relations event. The event hosted by U.S. Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka and Yokosuka City included a yukata fitting, a visit to a local shrine, a base tour and lunch where participants engaged in conversation with Japanese residents from Yokosuka, Yokohama, Tokyo and Ibaraki. FLEACT provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
