YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 17, 2018) – Yokosuka area Sailors and family members participate in a community relations event hosted by U.S. Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka and Yokosuka city. Participants wore yukata, a casual Japanese summer garment, visited a local shrine, took a base tour, ate lunch and engaged in conversation with Japanese residents from Yokosuka, Yokohama, Tokyo and Ibaraki. FLEACT provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
