YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 17, 2018) – Hiromi Katano smiles during a community relations event hosted by U.S. Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka and Yokosuka City. Yokosuka area Sailors and family members wore yukata, a casual Japanese summer garment, and engaged in conversation with Japanese residents during a visit to a local shrine, a base tour and lunch. FLEACT provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
