YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 17, 2018) – Eri Ishida and Jen Pollard pose for a photo at a community relations event hosted by U.S. Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka and Yokosuka city. Yokosuka area Sailors and family members wore yukata, a casual Japanese summer garment, visited a local shrine, took a base tour, ate lunch and engaged in conversation with Japanese residents Yokosuka, Yokohama, Tokyo and Ibaraki. FLEACT provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
