DAHLGREN, Va. (July 19, 2018) - Clinton Winfrey holds a plaque reproduction of the patent certificate he just received from John Fiore, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) technical director. Winfrey - along with co-inventors Benjamin Baldwin and Dr. Mary Ann Cummings - were among 32 patent holders honored before family, friends and colleagues at the NSWCDD Patent Awards ceremony. The 'Modular Model and Simulation Architecture' invented and patented by Winfrey, Baldwin and Cummings provides a computer architecture that greatly reduces the cost and effort to create a modeling and simulation software. The warfighter is provided with quicker and easier construction of modeling and simulation programs to design and improve systems. (U.S. Navy photo by Ryan DeShazo/Released)
