Cpl. Rosenburger, a native of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, enlisted out of recruiting substation Elizabeth before leaving for basic training in October of 2014. The Marines trained at JWTC to prepare for an upcoming patrol of the Indo-Pacific region as the Ground Combat Element for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
