Members of the Australian Army work with Marines to refuel an MV-22 Osprey from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 268 (VMM-268) via a ground hose from an Australian Defence Force C-130J Hercules at the Royal Australian Air Force Base, Darwin, Aug. 27, 2018. This refueling trial was the first time the Enhanced Air Cooperation initiative has integrated with aviation capabilities not assigned to the United States Air Force. Through combined training and improved interoperability, the EAC initiative enhances the capabilities of both forces, and positions both nations to better respond to emergencies and disasters.
