Demetri Wall, a 7-year-old at the Dwight Howard Boys and Girls Club, does a back flip during a wrestling clinic during United States Marine Corps’ 2018 Marine Week in Charlotte, North Carolina, September 7, 2018. The All-Marines Wrestling Team and USA Wrestling Team visited the club to mentor and serve the community. Diversity plays an important part in structuring the Marine Corps to better represent the different backgrounds, cultures and skills that citizens offer in service to the nation. Last year, diversity officer accessions accounted for 34.15% of officer accessions while 39.9% of enlisted accessions were diverse. Diversity accession success is a result of the hard work of the recruiting force and benefits from the robust community engagement activity, including Marine Week. (Marine photo by Lance Cpl.
