Haley Augello, a USA Wrestling athlete, teaches a young student how to do long jumps during a wrestling clinic at the Dwight Howard Boys and Girls Club during United States Marine Corps’ 2018 Marine Week in Charlotte, North Carolina, September 7, 2018. The All-Marines wrestling team and USA Wrestling Team visited the club to mentor and serve the community. Wrestlers share many of the same values as those exhibited by Marines, so the Marine Corps Recruiting Command was interested in developing a national-level wrestling marketing relationship to engage the USMC’s target audience and their influencers. Marine Week Charlotte is the premier community engagement event that each year allows the Marine Corps to connect with citizens of great American cities, generating awareness and maintaining mutual understanding and support between the Corps and those it serves.
