Barbara Livingston, a United Service Organizations (USO) representative and wife of U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Robert Livingston, adjutant general for South Carolina, visited with troops and leaders at the sandbag mission on Highway 501 in Conway, South Carolina, Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, and delivered water, snacks and care packages to the troops. Soldiers and civilian assets moved hundreds of one-ton sandbags and placed them along the sides of the road with the goal of ensuring a dry road in and out of Myrtle Beach as flood waters rise in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.
