John Pangelinan, Guam National Guard Counterdrug Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, receive the 2011 Community Drug Awareness Award - National Guard Bureau from (left) Dr. Clifford Stanley, Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness and (far right) Mr. Joseph Angello, Jr., Director, Operational Readiness and Safety, at the 21st Annual Secretary of Defense Red Ribbon Week Awards Ceremony held at the Pentagon Hall of Heroes Oct. 20. Each year, one winner is selected to receive the Department of Defense Community Drug Awareness Award from each Service, the National Guard, and participating Defense Agencies. The award is presented to the military installation or program from each of the organizations with the best anti-drug program for that year.
