U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Michael Hlad converses with Sgt. Maj. Nathaniel III Bradley during a 6.1 mile hike commemorating 7th Communication Battalion’s 61st anniversary aboard the Central Training Area, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 25, 2018. Hlad, a native of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, is the commanding officer of 7th Comm. Bn., III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group. Bradley, a native of Saint Petersburg, Florida, is the 7th Comm. Bn. sergeant major. This annual battalion-wide hike is a tradition stretching back to the origin of 7th Comm. Bn. on Oct. 1, 1957. The Marines of 7th Comm.
