Pfc. Jorge Granados, born in Baja California, Mexico, raised his right hand and repeated the Oath of Allegiance to become an American citizen, during a naturalization ceremony at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Nov. 9. An infantryman assigned to the 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division's C Company, 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, Granados has lived in Wenatchee, Wash., since his family immigrated to the U.S. when he was 2 years old. Wanting to serve his adopted nation, he joined the Army about one year ago. He is currently deployed to Iraq with the 2/82 "Falcon Brigade" in support of Operation New Dawn.
