Granados, born in Baja California, Mexico, and Lashchuk, born in Krivoy-Rog, Ukraine, became American citizens during the ceremony. The Paratroopers are infantrymen assigned to the 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division's C Company, 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, and are currently deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn.
