A local villager and her child observe a Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command recovery site as team members excavate a remote mountainous site. The specialized recovery team deployed out of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for more than 30 days searching for the remains of seven airmen whose plane crashed during the Vietnam war. The mission of JPAC is to achieve the fullest possible accounting of all Americans missing as a result of the nation's past conflicts.
