U.S. Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka’s Navy Café attendees included 14 Japanese citizens, seven U.S. Navy Sailors, three U.S. Marines, and a military spouse. The Navy Café, which takes place a few times a year, creates a comfortable environment where Japanese and Americans can get a better understanding of life on either side of the main gate. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 27,000 military and civilian personnel.
