PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 21, 2019) - Gunner's Mate 3rd Class William Mooney, from Delhi, Louisiana, fires a shot line from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) to the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Wally Shirra (T-AKE 8) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS). Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
