190121-N-RI884-0082 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 21, 2019) The amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48), followed by the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), approaches the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) in preparation for a replenishment-at-sea (RAS). Wasp, flagship of Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
