PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 21, 2019) - Sailors transport equipment and supplies in the hangar bay aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) after arriving from the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Wally Shirra (T-AKE 8) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS). Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
