ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. – Nathan Heslink, assistant product manager, Product Manager Soldier Maneuver Sensors (PM SMS), Project Manager Soldier Sensors and Laser (PM SSL), Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier, demonstrates the capabilities of the Soldier Borne Sensor, a small, unmanned aerial system (UAS) used for aerial reconnaissance and surveillance. The lightweight system is designed to be hand-carried and used at the squad level. Soldier Sensors and Lasers (SSL), Rock Island Arsenal – Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC), completed the first shipment of the new unmanned aerial system to the Warfighter.
