ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. – Members of Product Manager Soldier Maneuver Sensors (PM SMS), Project Manager Soldier Sensors and Laser (PM SSL), Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier, discuss the capabilities of the Soldier Borne Sensor, a small, unmanned aerial system (UAS) used for aerial reconnaissance and surveillance with Soldier Sensors and Lasers (SSL), Rock Island Arsenal – Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC). The lightweight system is designed to be hand-carried and used at the squad level. SSL, RIA-JMTC completed the first shipment of the new unmanned aerial system to the Warfighter.
