ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. – Soldier Sensors and Lasers (SSL), Rock Island Arsenal – Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC), completed the first shipment of a new unmanned aerial system to the Warfighter. The Soldier Borne Sensor is a small, unmanned aerial system (UAS) used for aerial reconnaissance and surveillance. The lightweight system is designed to be hand-carried and used at the squad level.
