Spc. Helen Loar, a veterinary technician embarked aboard High Speed Vessel (HSV 2) Swift, demonstrates proper kennel cleaning techniques at the Peruvian canine unit on Base Naval de Callao to Peruvian Naval Police dog handlers. Loar is participating in a subject matter expert exchange regarding military working dog care. The two different militaries are working together at the Callao Naval base as a part of HSV-Southern Partnership Station 2012. HSV-SPS is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
