Lt. Col. Tammy Von Busch, a veterinarian, Spc. Helen Loar, a veterinary technician, and Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Alfonso Anglada, a translator, embarked aboard High Speed Vessel (HSV 2) Swift, examines puppies living at the Peruvian canine unit on Base Naval de Callao. The veterinary team embarked on Swift is participating in a subject matter expert exchange regarding military working dogs. The two different militaries are working together at the Callao Naval base as a part of HSV-Southern Partnership Station 2012. HSV-SPS is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
