Joseph Redman, a combat engineer with Bridge Platoon, Alpha Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, and a native of Wellington, Fla., makes sure the cables attached to a 40-foot steel I-beam are secure before an excavator move it in to place during the construction of a bridge near Combat Outpost Rankel in the district of Garmsir, Helmand province, Jan. 29.
