Engineman 2nd Class Marc Scavone performs taps during a memorial service for Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Kyler L. Estrada aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island. Estrada was assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and died while conducting night live-fire and maneuver training in Djibouti, Africa. Makin Island and embarked Marines assigned to the 11th MEU are deployed supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
