Mazel accepted delivery on behalf of the ambassador and defense attachŽ as a symbol of the Navy's intent to deploy a littoral combat ship to Singapore. Ferguson is traveling to meet with regional partners and U.S. personnel to discuss U.S. Navy engagement in the Pacific supporting the new defense strategy.
