Vice Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mark Ferguson, center, talks with Australian navy sailors about pier and berthing facilities while visiting HMAS Coonawarra. Ferguson visited the navy base in Darwin to meet with Australian navy staff and tour available support facilities for the planned rotational deployment of U.S. Marines. Ferguson is traveling to meet with regional partners and U.S. personnel to discuss U.S. Navy engagement in the Pacific in support of the new defense strategy.
