Maj. Gen. Patrick E. Matlock, the commanding general of the 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss, gives a speech honoring the division's outgoing Chief of Staff Col. John M. Cushing, and commemorating his service to the division during a retreat ceremony at the division's headquarters parade field on Fort Bliss, Texas, May 1, 2019.
During the retreat ceremony, Cushing was awarded the Legion of Merit for his duties as the 1st Armored Division's Chief of Staff for his outstanding performance and achievements during his tenure as the Chief.
