Sgt. Ayrin Hamner-Ripperger, the administration and supply non-commissioned officer for the 831st Engineer Company, Iowa Army National Guard (IANG), poses in her “Chasing 50 States” shirt at Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center on May 13, 2019. After joining the IANG and getting a full-time job at CDJMTC, Hamner-Ripperger found a passion for running. In September 2018, she decided to run a half marathon in every state. Her aunt made her the shirt, and each time Hamner-Ripperger runs in a new state, she irons a check mark on the corresponding state. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Tawny Schmit)
