Staff Sgt. Michael Duff, of El Reno, Okla., receives a Bronze Star medal from Col. Michael Kinnison, officer-in-charge of the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team demobilization, for exceptionally meritorious service in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from June 12, 2011, to Nov. 1, 2011. Duff is an Infantryman and served as an infantry squad leader while in Afghanistan. He has served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for more than 10 years. Duff has used the Oklahoma Army National Guard Tuition Fee Waiver to attend Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City. He works for Transtech where he manufactures decals for railroad cars. He was one of more the 2,200 Oklahoma Army National Guard soldiers to serve in Afghanistan for the past eight months.
